The books
A fantasy trilogy beginning with Line-Silver, with two further books continuing and concluding the story.
WELCOME TO WAR OF SHALLOWS.
A strange world. A story to get lost in.
War of Shallows is an original fantasy world created by author Ven Eli. Two intelligent peoples share it: the giant Pilas and the smaller Diels. Between them lie an uneasy peace, old wounds and things neither fully understands.
A trilogy of books sits at the heart of the project. Character imagery, short visual storytelling and a growing connection with readers bring other glimpses of that world beyond the page.
STEP INTO ANOTHER WORLD.
War of Shallows began with a question: what might happen if more than one form of life shared a world with a similar level of intelligence?
That question grew into a second reality, shaped over more than a decade. The result is a story of loyalty, vengeance and wonder, told through characters whose choices can change the world around them.
ONE SIMPLE IDEA AT THE HEART OF IT ALL.
Build a world readers want to return to.
The books lead the way. Everything around them, from a character’s silhouette to a short glimpse of the world in motion, offers an invitation to explore further.
